		<description>Places like that are real gems.  I missed our old Ace Hardware when it closed a few years ago.

It was who knows HOW old, but it did stock all sorts of odd fittings and widgets all the old houses in town needed.  It was as we say in the car restoration madness &quot;new old stock&quot;.  In other words the original stuff in the original box gathering dust until we needed it to fix some old bit of plumbing in our 1950&#039;s and older homes.  Home Crepot doesn&#039;t stock that stuff their answer is to replumb the whole house.

Of course our local ACE went out of business when Home Crepot arrived.  Those big boxes just whittle away at the cool old stores full of stuff we actually needed.
