It’s Friday and I’m ready for the weekend.  How about you?

Here are a few items I came across today which caught my eye:

• Mediabistro clues us in to the L.A. Times Business Section’s new-ish Tech Blog .  Ooh.  The business of technology…

• Elsewhere at the Times, Ed Padgett, L.A. Times Pressman, is contacted by Ed Padgett of Oklahoma, who has more in common with Ed than just having the same name. This one gave me chills.

• Dave Cobb shares a photo of horse crossing near the Burbank Equestrian Center showing how horses get their own crosswalk buttons (up high enough for their riders to push the buttons, not for the horses to push the buttons with their noses… though that would be pretty damn cool).
