Indiana Jones and the Inevitable Arclight Website Crash

Check that out – the Arclight in Hollywood has booked EVERY SCREEN for showings of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull for sometime between midnight and 1am… and 9 of the 11 showings are SOLD OUT. Not surprising, but still amazing.

On the bright side, it appears that although its sluggish, the notoriously glitchy Arclight website is still running. No idea if its still issuing tickets (got mine weeks ago, suckers!). And the other potential clusterf@ck is for people who didn’t print their tickets at home who hopefully won’t face computer glitches on site… I know its late warning, but if you’re going tonite (or this weekend) print out your tickets or show up early in case of glitches!

I’d love to hear what your plans are for seeing the movie, or experiences after the fact… but please, lets keep this comment thread spoiler free…

Normally I would have seen it first thing this morning somewhere with a decent screen size. Alas, I’m in Texas dealing with major family issues and so I will have to see the movie weeks later. It’s a little bit of a downer for me as these movies were instrumental in getting me to LA to work in THE industry. Life is life. Enjoy it…

I went to one of the midnight screenings there last night. Except for the 1 or 2 cell phone checkers, the theater behaved well.

People either seem to love the “idea” for this movie or just flat out do not like it. The movie overall was pretty good and felt like a mix of the previous films. Some things seemed forced, others were highly expected, but oh well.

I’ve heard people complain that certain scenes weren’t believable. This leads me to believe they never saw the first three or something. I didn’t realize jumping out of a crashing plane on an inflating row boat was now considered realistic.
