Meet at 10:30 am in Pershing Square at 5th &amp;Hill. We will walk together with our protest signs to the Governorâ€™s office at 3rd &amp;S. Spring and rally until noon.

Please consider using public transportation. Parents from the Valley and Ventura County will be meeting at the Canoga Park bus station, 6610 Canoga Ave (free parking at the station just north of Victory) at 8:45am* to board the Orange line, to change to the Red line in N. Hollywood. There are Red and Purple Metro Line exits at 5th Street, across from Pershing Square. $5 for all day, round trip transit pass. Get the pass at the self-serve machine at the bus stop, cash only. *The metro bus leaves approximately every 10 minutes, at this time of day. The trip will take about 1-Â½ hours each way.

But not hard enough when we&#039;re 49th in the nation when it comes to our public schools.

I wouldn&#039;t be rewarded with hugs and cookies and drinks if I were shitty at my job.

(Not to say teachers are the only people to blame - it&#039;s parents, it&#039;s environments and - mostly - it&#039;s just the fact that there&#039;s a LOT of stupid people who&#039;d rather watch American Idol and play on the MySpace and that&#039;s just basic Darwinism).
