Archiving Angeles (AA): Gold Star Mothers

They were mothers of men and women who gave their lives for their country. Sons. Daughters. Children.

They knew they would never have another Mother’s Day phone call, so that you would always have the freedom to make yours.

They marched with pride in the Armistice Day Parade in Downtown Los Angeles. The year was 1945.
