Man, I was all set to rail against drivers who block the intersection, then you had to go and put it in perspective like that. Damn, couldn’t it be drivers blocking intersections and the inconsistancy of the MTA or something?

Oops…I guess I didn’t read the questions exactly right and my comment was more to cars that blow through crosswalks. Doesn’t change my vote.

Well, I don’t know where Oren crosses the street, but it’s obviously not in front of my workplace. It’s been bad for the 13.5 years I’ve worked here. We finally got the City to put in a light that turns RED for us to cross and guess what? Cars, and occasionally buses, blow right trough it! A few co-workers have been hit and many of us have several close calls each week. I know people get killed this way too, and without knowing the true statistics, I’d have to guess there are more deaths caused by gang violence. So, that’s where I’ll put my vote.

I hate drivers who block intersections, but I don’t see that happen too much in LA. People are pretty considerate here.

I’m pushing for the drivers. That’s something much more endemic to L.A. (and didn’t used to be the case, either).

Can’t I vote for both? I mean, gang violence is worse. It must be. But… Drivers in intersections endanger my life more frequently. Like, every time I leave the house.
