First Rite of Spring Bike Ride
Sunday, March 30, 2008 @ 9:00 a.m.

Enjoy first blooms, great conversation, fresh air, and the feeling of that first ride of spring!

Fun Ride to the Huntington Library: Presenting- Smith on Wry: Jack Smith, Columnist for Our Times Garden of Flowing Fragrance- new Chinese Garden at the Library. Bike Mileage: 14 miles round trip approximately- please note that the Allen Street Goldline Metro Station is 1.5 miles north of the Library and is easily reachable by bike for those who want to ride the Metro back to Highland Park.

By carpool: Meet at Mt. Washington Elementary School at 10am to carpool to the Huntington Library

By Bike: Meet at the Heritage Square Gold Line Station parking lot at 9:00 am. The ride is approximately 7 miles, up the Arroyo Seco bike path, then up to Arroyo Blvd. and then California. Join the carpool group at 10:30 am @ the entrance. This is an easy ride, with just one hill, and we will take a leisurely pace.
