I have long been under the impression that the third installment of Leone’s “Man with No Name” series—”The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”—was meant to have been what happened in the far west during the 1860s, which is to state California. (Granted, I have done no research despite having watched the film some several tens of times over the last few decades.)
