What is it about John Cusack movies from the eighties and scary stop-motion animated food jumping off its plate to dance around? Here’s an ad for Roscoe’s House of Chicken’ n Waffles from the 1988 film Tapeheads.
Happy Monday.

The guy in the video went by the name of King Cotton. In the early 90s we used to book King Cotton & 3 Cool Cats at Toe’s Tavern in Pasadena. Great fun; an R&B/Soul revue sort of show. There was a Roscoe’s around the corner on Colorado Blvd. that we would go to after closing the bar, but I don’t recall ever getting King Cotton to go there with us. Don’t know what ever happened to the King, but I’d love to see him play again. This clip brings back great memories.
This is great. Now can you recite the alphabet backwards, omitting all the vowels, and giving the sign language equivalent for each letter as you pass by?
