mark, the whole post is a joke. you need to take things a little less seriously when we're talking about giant monster movies and rambo.

also, your high-horse mentality is starting to get on my nerves.

On a basic level, without even bothering to analyze the movies beyond the surface, one movie is about showing everything in explicit detail and the other's all about everything that doesn't happen on the screen.

Plus, you can't claim the intelligence line when your entire post is ridiculously sexist.

If you can't see the difference between Cloverfield and Rambo, even if you don't like either movie, it's a sad day for human intelligence.

LOL. Enlighten me. PLEASE.

All this macho posturing is so annoying.

And in related news fresh off the AP wires:

NEW YORK -- Rambo wouldn't be Rambo without those bulging muscles -- and Sylvester Stallone is defending using human growth hormone to get them.

"HGH is nothing," Stallone told Time magazine. "Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed."

Stallone said for him, testosterone is "so important for a sense of well-being when you get older."

He suggested that "everyone over 40 years old would be wise to investigate it because it increases the quality of your life."

Stallone, who is 61, predicted, "In 10 years it will be over the counter."

HGH has become a substance of great concern in Major League Baseball and other sports battling allegations of rampant doping.

Stallone's muscles are on display in the new "Rambo" movie, which opened in second place at the box office over the weekend.

That would be the only way I'd want to see those movies.

Just like the only time I saw Deep Throat was projected over a stripper on Broadway in San Francisco, and the only time I saw The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was projected over Vox Pop at the Cathay de Grande. Context is important.

Lucky for you, DB, the plotlines of the "Rambo" and "Rocky" flicks are so light, you CAN shoot pool and drink beer while watching them; in fact, it enhances the experience.

and what's wrong with that??

I'd rather drink beer and play pool than see any of those movies.
