Could Someone Explain This to Me?

I watch the dog shows … they never show this kind of stylish do.

I can appreciate it, but you know, I’m not the kind of person who can get her dog’s nails trimmed on a regular basis, let alone maintain her own hair coloring, so I don’t think I’d be the right person for a style like this.

Does anyone even know how this is done? Shave the dog and then get out the sharpie markers?

(Perhaps he got it done before he went to the Blessing of the Animals. This photo was taken yesterday around 2PM at Cafe Tropical.)

  1. Well the actual blessing with the holy water started at 2 so probably not. You should look up the book “Why Paint Cats” for some crazily decorated animals.

  2. Lucinda – I consider myself simply perplexed.

Dave – I’d say that giving your kid a mohawk is worse. I’m guessing they’ll take pictures and then show them off when the kid is older. Dog’s aren’t impressed by photos. (I don’t know how you can get a 2 year old to sit still for a mohawk.)

Diego – hmm, it’s a party on the top and a party on the sides.

  3. Don’t get me wrong. I think it’s kinda cool. A girlfriend once dyed her dalmatian a glorious rainbow of kool-aid–pink, yellow, blue, purple–and Diva the Dog looked absolutely lovely. And she didn’t mind. So, hey–as long as the doggy don’t care, it’s all good.

  4. Oooh… hey – Lookattttt me!!!! Loookkkaatttt me!!!!! Yeah, that’s why people do this.

Then again, it is LA, so I’m not surprised.

    Lookat me~!
