Grassroots Voting on Saturday

If you are a registered Democrat, and live in the 41st Assembly district (the Valley south to Santa Monica), then you can get out and bring some new voices to the party at the grassroots level on Saturday! Two friends of mine – Stacy Green and Jonathan Troen – are running as part of the Progressive Caucus, as delegates to the California Democratic Party. They wanted to bring some new voices to the Party, and bring about action on issues that the “old guard” aren’t moving on. These include:

  • Out of Iraq/Cut Funding
  • Support Universal Single-Payer Health Care
  • Election Protection: Count Every Vote as Cast
  • Eliminate Poverty/Support Living Wage
  • Publicly Finance Elections
  • Restore Constitutional Right
  • Investigation/Impeachment.

Get out to the Malibu Public Library (23519 W. Civic Center Way in Malibu) at 10am on Saturday, and help vote for the slate. Plus, you can also vote for Marcy Winograd, recent Congressional candidate, for California Democratic Party executive board.

More details behind the cut, including the exact details of the 41st District boundaries.

This only applies to residents of: Agoura, Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Los Angeles (Castellemare, Encino, Pacific Highlands, Tarzana, Woodland Hills), Malibu, Oak Park, Santa Monica, Topanga, Westlake Village

Dear Progressives in the 41st AD,
