It’s a perilous movie full of peril but hardly anything is as good as watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I must admit, I was a late-bloomer to the Holy Grail having seen it for the first time only a few years ago when they re-released the film in select theaters for the movies 20th anniversary. It did three things: 1) made me understand Sean much, much better 2) connected with my sense of humor and 3) began my crush on John Cleese. But at least in this case it’s better late than never – plus I had my first experience with Holy Grail on the big screen!
Luckily the chance to see it on screen has come up again at the Nuart who is presenting Holy Grail uncut with a whopping 24 seconds of footage “just before its original theatrical release, back in the medieval ’70s.” Holy Grail plays everyday this week at 5:10, 7:30, and 9:50 ending on Thursday.
Go or get turned into a newt!
