I’ve been a fan of L.A. resident Octavio Arizala (MySpace)’s “Winkytiki” style of pin-up girl photography for quite some time. So it wasn’t a surprise that he was selected by Vivid-Alt (an imprint of Vivid, focusing on altporn and catering to the same audience as Suicide Girls and Burning Angel) to direct his first feature adult film.
Fastforward a number of months to earlier tonight, and The Rebelle Rousers is scheduled to street next week, so Arizala threw a celebratory release party at The Bigfoot Lodge near Los Feliz. An hour into the party, and the bar, which was open to the public, was a literal stifling-hot sweatbox (despite the presence of a very large fan near the back entrance), and filled with a fascinating mix of fans, regulars, hipsters, bikers, porn industry peeps, and photographers. And oh yeah, lots of hot women, whether they be starlets or dolled-up everyday lasses, closely accompanied by their boyfriends (of course).
More after the jump.
The L.A.-based DeArmond is probably best-known for her recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show as part of the Fucking Machines demonstration. The self-proclaimed “Internet’s Girlfriend,” she told me she has her own adult feature film, called Dana DeArmond Does the Internet, scheduled to street in October, and that she’s already filmed four scenes for it.
UPDATE: It’s the Bigfoot Lodge, not the Lounge. I don’t know why I wrote that when I had the correct URL. It’s definitely a place I recommend, and the drinks are cheap, especially during Happy Hour.
