Interim Managing Editor

PopandPolitics.com, a 10-year-old online publication covering the
intersection of pop culture and politics, is looking for a part-time
temporary editor. The site has been recently incorporated into the
University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communication
and will be operating on campus.

The interim managing editor of PopandPolitics.com is responsible for
updating the website on a regular basis. Duties include soliciting,
assigning, and editing six 800-word articles a week; updating the
blog; maintaining relationships with partner sites; sending out a
weekly email blast; and supervising staff writers.

Qualified candidates will have a background in journalism. A strong
interest in and knowledge of pop culture and politics is a must. Basic
HTML and photo editing skills a plus.

Hire must be based in Los Angeles and willing to work on the USC campus.

(Possibilty for this job to continue only if the hire is a USC
graduate student.)

Starts June 1; 3 months; 20 hours a week; minimum $15/hour, more
depending on skills and experience.
