Free Personality Tests!

But relax, it’s not the Scientology kind. Really.

A friend (Jim Mason) needs data for a psych study. You are invited to take two personality inventory tests – a few minutes of your time max – and email Jim your results for compiling. Of course all personally identifying information will be erased at the end of the study.

Both the Empathy Quotient and Interactive Systemising Quotient tests are accessed by clicking
this main page.

Please remember to email your scores on each test to
jimmason AT longnow DOT org
and announce your race, class, gender and sexual orientation.

To repeat, all personally identifying information will be erased at the end of the study.

Here’s his full original email to me (for you completists):

yes, a test. but this is a fun one. a test about our perennial
favorite topic: the nature of the female vs the male mind. or in this
take, empathizing vs systematizing. yes, a broad brush of bullshit.
but some interesting suggestions and questions nonetheless are
offered.

a friend who is completely confused about gender needs some data for
this study and asked if i could help. so i ask all of you. i took it
and learned something. who knows, you might find it interesting too.

no right or wrong answers. no high stress GRE abstract reasoning and
reading comprehension questions. just some opinions and perspectives
need be offered through checking boxes. about 5 minutes of effort. i
think you will enjoy it.

tests are here:

return results to me. please announce your race, class, gender and
sexual orientation on return.

all tests will be held in strict
confidentiality and personally identifying information will be erased
at the end of the study.
