Bringing closure to an expedition begun back in May, amateur paleo-sculpturist, Echo Park resident and Blogging.la reader Hexod is reporting on his blog that the Elysian Park pterodactyl is alive and well and soaring high up on a hill overlooking the Golden State Freeway.
“It appears to be a pterodactyl made of iron and bolted onto a tree, overlooking the Interstate 5 and Burbank. I don’t know who put it there, when or why. But it’s absolutely amazing.”
Just another reason why I love this part of town. Art can be found in the most unlikely places.
