Well Hello, Dahlia

Found on L.A. Observed is the coolnews that the proprietors of the awesome 1947 Project blog are in the midst of planning an afternoon-long “voyage into untraveled lands and the incredible, forgotten crimes of the sort we run every day on 1947project” in the form of a Crime Bus Tour scheduled for January 15, which not coincidentally happens to be the anniversary of the discovery of the mutilated corpse of Elizabeth Short, aka the Black Dahlia.

Details are still forthcoming, but they’re promising the cruise to be “with a group of your fellow true crime and LA history aficionados, visiting a hand-picked selection of obscure and celebrated noirish crime scenes, from the Hollywood IHOP where SLA revolutionary turned Minnesota soccer mom Kathleen Soliah tried to bomb two LAPD patrol cars to the Black Dahlia site on South Norton Avenue and many fascinating spots between.”

Cost is estimated to be no more than $25 per person and my guess is the bus will fill up pretty quick so don’t delay in clicking over and placing your reservation.
