Historic Filipinotown Veteran’s Day Parade

November 11, 2005 at 12:18 pm in Uncategorized

Apparently, there’s an annual Filipino American Veteran’s Day Parade here in Hi-Fi, because it just marched right by my house led by what appeared to be Native American drummers. “Equity and Justice for Filipino WWII Veterans” seems to be the motivating factor, though some of the signs said “and Vietnamese” in addition to Filipino. Also interesting, all the marchers seemed to be really young, maybe early college age. Click on the thumb for a larger photo if you’re so inclined.
