If you are visiting my office building…

…taking the stairs might be a good idea.

I got the following scoop from J-X today:

One of our employees was stuck in an elevator for an hour this morning. He heard glass and metal break above his head. The elevator dropped from the 12th to the 10th floor. He had to climb through the ceiling and jump across a 3-foot gap to the neighboring elevator. He is currently working at his desk.

J-X is a very reliable source and especially since the elevators went out multiple times this week during power outages, I am inclined to believe this story.

–>If you haven’t been keeping up, here are some previous happenings at/near my office building:
-Police activity (car chase?) with choppers and a guy laying on the roof of a building and a LAPD person with a gun pointed at him: July 21, 2005
Bomb scare at Jack in the Crack: July 8, 2005
Bomb Squad(?) on Vine, north of Selma: June 2, 2005
Suspicious package at the 101 @ Vine: June 1, 2005
Fire at the high rise across the street at Sunset and Vine: May 31, 2005

There is probably more, but those were the events that I could remember off the top of my head.
