Well, it’s no X Games, but Los Angeles is reportedly going to be bidding for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, which would be its third time (1932 and 1984 the others). Supposedly it won’t cost us anything. Somehow I find that hard to believe, but never mind. :)
‘Other cities considering 2016 bids are Chicago, Rome and Tokyo. The Summer Games will be held in Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.’ Since only one city per country is allowed to bid, the U.S. Olympic Committee will have to decide, and that doesn’t have to be until 2007. Stay tuned.
