The Museum of Jurassic Technology was one of the first places I visited when I moved to Los Angeles and is still one of my favorite spots in town. It’s one of the few things that I recommend to anyone who comes to town and is looking for something to do. Yesterday’s Redlands Daily Facts has a review by a first time visitor which I thought was pretty entertaining.

As an avid museum-goer, I have finally met my match. The Museum of Jurassic Technology in Los Angeles is one of the most bizarre, confusing and incomprehensible collections I have ever encountered. And therein lies its charm, for people who appreciate the decidedly offbeat.

MJT is at 9341 Venice Boulevard in Culver City and now that I’m going to be working just down the street from there I’m looking forward to visiting on a more regular basis.

  1. I went to the MJT on my “in-town-honeymoon” and enjoyed it thouroghly! My wife, on the otherhand, wasn’t quite as thrilled. (She didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t what she was expecting.)

  2. I live so close to the MJT and haven’t been yet! I gotta keep it in mind for the next free couple of hours I have. Thanks for reminding!
