As your friendly blogging.la Brewery Arts Colony resident, I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you about our twice annual open studio weekend, which just so happens to be coming up this coming weekend. It’s like this: a bunch of residents in the world’s biggest art colony throw open their studio doors and invite you into their spaces for a peek at their latest work. And the best part is, admission is free. Parking is also free in the UPS parking lot adjacent to the complex. If you get hungry or thirsty, there’s plenty of food and drink to be had at the restaurant on the premises.
Plus, if blogging.la readers locate my studio and mention blogging.la, they’ll get a free notecard. Just ’cause I’m nice like that.
Directions are here. The Artwalk is open both Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Update: I should probably mention that the Artwalk has something for everyone – there are painters, photographers, sculptors, performance artists, clothing, furniture, crafts, candles, pretty much anything you can think of. (Thanks to Tammara for the comment which reminded me to post this!)
