Found this bilingual flyer stuck under windshield wipers up and down my block this morning. Apparently because “Flat Form L.A. Going Down Aug. 2005″ Jesus will be making a stop at Echo Park Lake July 7 at 8 p.m. to do some saving, but first he’ll be preceded by 3,000 white seabirds who’ll visit in May and June. And if salvation isn’t enough there will be “gifts for all” in attendance. [Click image for readable version]

those flyers have been distributed throughout echo park for MONTHS now. i’ve only seen a little mexican woman with ‘em, so maybe she’s doing it all herself. the original flyers said he was only coming to pay our rent – which was more than enough incentive to convince me i’m totally there.

I guess it’s taken her awhile to work over to my Silver Lake neck of the woods.

As to the Lotus Fest, it’s close. The info I have is that the dates are July 9-10.
