Step Right Up! Get Your Free Pancakes Right Here!

Josh from Eric Garcetti’s office just tipped me off on to the details of some free pancakes they are going to be whipping up this weekend which should be cool. If you live in Atwater Village, Elysian Valley, Glassell Park, Historic Filpinotown, Little Armenia and Thai Town, or most of
Echo Park, Silver Lake, and Hollywood then you are part of Eric’s district and are totally invited. If you don’t, too bad you don’t get to come. Just kidding. Maybe. I dunno, maybe you could pretend. Anyway, here’s the scoop:

I am writing to invite you to Councilmember Garcetti’s
FREE Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, February 12th in Silver Lake. Please forward this to anyone (especially CD13 residents) who might be interested.

Saturday, February 12th, 9-11AM at Cliff’s Edge Restaurant (3626 Sunset Blvd at Edgecliff Dr.)RSVP to 323-240-8693 or email ssavage2k[AT]aol.com

P.S. You might be asking yourself, “Why is Eric having a campaign event? He’s running unopposed.” Eric wants to use the campaign funds he’s raised to use his funds to break bread with you and to run a voter registration drive. He’ll tell you all about that at breakfast: All you have to do is show up bright and early and eat pancakes!

I guess the question I have to ask, which is probably the same one on everyone’s mind is… Will there be vegan pancakes? :

  2. Over on LAist we posted about a belated mailing about the first pancake breakfast. And while we got a reply from Eric Garcetti/masquerading staff we’ve never been contacted by Mr. Josh. But don’t you worry, we’ll be there this Saturday (without bells on. We hear a clown is already booked to attend).
