Comcast gets all stylie and stuff

comcast.jpgThis probably won’t help my embarrassing TV addiction, but I’m enjoying the crack├│er, my cable experience├│far more since I turned on my TV (well, launched my digital tuner) this evening and saw that Comcast’s horsey old-school chyron titles had been replaced by these pretty new digital ones, all tastefully proportioned and everything.

Frankly, it’s a pleasure to fork over an additional 15 bucks per month when it buys you not only convenience but aesthetic pleasure.

  1. Huh? I rushed to turn my TV on and was disappointed. No kewl blue displays, just the klunky olds ones.

  2. Hmmm…are you on Hollywood Comcast? I know there are different Comcasts dotted about town.

Hey–could I be in a pilot Comcast program AND the pilot MultiFamily Recycling program?! Wow. What are the odds…?

  3. OMG! I was up at 5:30am a few days ago and my remote stopped working so i manually turned off the cable box and when i turned it back on i saw the new interface… Soooo fucking good! A million miles ahead of the old one. I spent like an hour becoming accustom to the new interface. I’m using the Navy theme, but the Onyx is tight and the Arctic Silver is amazing. The new buttons, new fonts, record feature, new INFO (that doesnt take up the whole screen)…. all amazing.

My only gripe is that it scrolls in reverse (which is remote correct, but logically incorrect and opposite how it has always been). Good riddens to the hideous Mustard with oval buttons!
