Grand Ave. Plan

I’ve just made a post on art.blogging.la about an LA Times article (no link to those suckers though) and the Grand Avenue Committee’s 1.2 billion dollar project (that now has a NY-based developer) to create “a vibrant boulevard of luxury housing, office towers and cultural institutions”, including a proposed Cirque de Soleil attraction and themed restaurants. I don’t think that creating another Southern California style themepark is a good idea. I mean, this project has Studio City Universal City Walk written ALL over it.

  1. Studio City’s a theme park? Perhaps you meant Universal City or even City Walk? Just checking.
