Big Brother is watching you play Counter-Strike.

While I’m on the subject of video games, it looks like the L.A. City Council has voted to impose new rules on the operation of “cybercafes,” most of which are located on the 818 side of the hills. I’m having a hard time figuring out if this affects non-gaming related cybercafes as well? None of the changes seem draconian, but it does seem like a drag to force operators of plain-jane internet cafes to install video surveillance. I’m surprised that nobody bothers to make the distinction in any of the analysis.
