In L.A. this weekend? Like photography? You’re in luck! There are two photography shows opening this weekend that you’re bound to love.
This Friday, the Creative Center for Photography at Freestyle in Hollywood will be displaying work by Dan Burkholder. The focus of Dan’s work merges digital techniques with traditional photographic processes like platinum printing. He uses pigments over platinum to create beautiful pastel-tinted images. The opening is from 6-8 p.m., located at 5124 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
And if that’s not enough photography for you, on Saturday night the I-5 Gallery at the Brewery Arts Complex is hosting the opening reception for Site-Seen : Los Angeles, a group show featuring photographs by members of the Los Angeles League of Photographers. The exhibition features works by 16 photographers. Since I’m a Brewery resident and the gallery is downstairs from my loft, I’ve seen a sneak preview, and there are some fantastic images, so I definitely recommend coming out and seeing this show. The opening is from 7-10 p.m., located at 2100 North Main Street #A9 in Los Angeles.
